Saving Electricity and
Energy
The power consumption of ecoTech Workhorse desktop PC is
half that of the traditional Desktop. Take
the high-end desktop PC as an example. ecoTech desktops
use motherboards that are designed to use less power.
They also implement CPU's with less power consumption. Power consumption
of Pentium D reaches 130W while that of Core Duo stands
at just 35W. The CPU has always been the component with
the highest power consumption in a PC system,
constituting one-third of total electricity consumption
in the whole system. In Addition, the system to
be bundled with parts and components such as Mini PCI interface cards developed for the notebooks.
All these parts and components also possess the
power-saving function on their own.
The following example help explain the
advantages. When an ecoTech PC is put
in use for one year, at least $87 can be saved in electricity
over three years. The total saving
for 100 PCs used under the same conditions will reach $8,700. For many
schools and government, the power
saving translates into $15,000 to $25,000 in
three years when they replace their traditional desktop
PCs with ecoTech PCs.
